How and why to get started and goals!

WHY LOSE EXCESS WEIGHT?
Get motivated.

● Lose excess weight and put less pressure and pounding on your joints which may help reduce joint pain
● Gain more energy
● Be more confident, feel better about yourself
● Save money not buying excess food
● More Mobility

HOW TO GET STARTED!

INSPIRE yourself  
● BE POSITIVE do it for yourself
● Love and respect yourself
● Be VOLUMPTUOUS, CURVACIOUS, CONFIDENT and lose weight.
● Love who you are then you can be confident enough to be positive to inspire yourself to want to lose weight

EXERCISE
Get a comfortable pair of shoes and start walking even if it is just around the house, doing gardening, put on some music and dance. Move it and use it or you may lose joint felxibility.

SAVING MONEY GOALS
Money you save not buying excess food can give yourself something to aim for such as:

● Comfortable shoes to excerise in
● Holiday - don't eat your way to oblivion eat less and maybe save for a holiday to Bolivia
● Something new for the kids
● New car

HARA HACHI BU
Eat till you're 80% full. This gives your stomach time to digest what you have just eaten. You can help achieve this by:

● Eating with smaller bites
● Chew food longer and enjoy the flavours - try using spices such as sage, cumin to savour the flavour
● To make simple fruit such as an apple, orange, strawberries look tempting and last longer on the plate you can cut them up in small slices and place the slices on the plate to be decorative and presentable to the palate
● Use smaller plates
● Use smaller eating utensils or try chop sticks

Eating excess of the wrong foods needs excess exercise to burn the calories.Foods you can eat more of are referred to as negative calorie foods such as celery, lettuce, onions and greens, pickles and grapefruit.

NEGATIVE CALORIE FOODS
Foods referred to as negative calorie foods can be eaten more  often and are great for snacking along with foods such as carrots and apples.

DRINK WATER
Don't foget to drink water. Have a drink of water before a meal and during a meal and this may help you feel fuller and less hungry.

LOVE FOOD - LOVE THE RIGHT FOOD
Love the right foods and you can eat more and lose weight. Good nutritional foods can also make you healthier and give you more energy. Remember "You are what you eat!"

GLUTEN FREE DIET

DISTRACT YOUR MIND
When you start to feel hungry after eating a smaller meal try to distract your mind by having a drink of water, exercising, gardening, reading or doing puzzles etc.

Take a deep breath. Breathe out. Then breath in and tighten and hold your tummy muscles. Keep holding your tummy muscles in and breathe normally and say to yourself  "I CAN DO IT! I CAN DO IT! then relax.
Repeat this and try again later.

There, if you have done this, you have changed one thing. Good Work!
